wide selection nice staff historic building hot water manager availability leaking ceiling
The breakfast included a wide selection, and the staff were very nice . The building felt historic, I could feel its old-world charm. The bar was well stocked with ales and gins.
The hot water did not work for my entire stay, it was two nights. There was no manager available to speak with about this issue. I noticed leaks in the ceiling of my room, they had put down a plastic sheet.

mixed experience at historic building
delicious breakfast prompt staff slamming fire doors broken tv remotes
the breakfasts were really delicious and hot. the staff was amazing and prompt.
The fire doors slammed shut all night. this made for a bad night's sleep. the tv remotes did not work. I ended up with five different ones.

i stayed in a family room. it was very spacious. the location was excellent with charging facilities. parking was at the back of the hotel. staff members were really friendly.
the room was a little too warm, but i could open the windows.

the four-poster bed had nice clean white bedding. solid wood furniture featured original beams.
the fire doors slam shut, so sleep was disturbed.

quiet room friendly staff good service
the twin room was comfortable and quiet , despite the central location. tea , coffee , water , and biscuits were provided. check-in was fast , and the staff were friendly and offered good service.
the room seemed slightly worn , although this is understandable given the building's age.

satisfactory historic hotel stay
atmospheric building good breakfast central location long wait wrong order fire exit
the building is atmospheric. i found the breakfast to be good. the location is fabulous. it is very central, as the abbey is just on the other side of the road.
i had to wait 40 minutes for a drink when we sat for dinner. then i waited an hour for the food. i thought i was having ham, but i got cooked gammon. the room was not what i expected, as i had a fire exit in the bathroom.
